Safe & Reliable? The Future of California Water

California has emerged from a multi-year drought, but water quantity and quality issues continue to be a priority for state policy and decision makers. Several bills have been introduced in the current legislative session that would address clean drinking water for all Californians, with particular emphasis on improving access in disadvantaged communities. Gov. Gavin Newsom also has signaled the importance of access to safe drinking water for his administration, through efforts to update and move forward with some version of Waterfix and by proposing a new fund to pay for water infrastructure investments.
