Ali Sarhadi joined the Water in the West as a postdoctoral research fellow in January 2017. Before coming to Water in the West, Ali did his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Intelligent hydro-climate systems for sequential decision-making under uncertain climate change conditions define his research domain as water resources engineer in a verity of fully interactive inter-disciplinary research.
Much of his work has focused on developing dynamic non-stationary models in a multivariate context, advanced artificial intelligence, statistical and probabilistic techniques for a deeper understanding of dynamic climate change impacts on the stochastic behaviour of multi-dimensional complex hydro-climatic systems.
Ali Received his B.Sc and M.Sc in Environmental Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran. He enjoys spending his time playing soccer, biking, reading, and exploring new places.
